Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Mumbai seeks an Area Business Manager to lead a field sales team, drive aggressive growth, and manage key accounts across hospitals and distributors. You will craft forecasts, implement demand planning, and ensure strong MIS reporting to guide decision-making.

The role requires extensive travel across the territory, coaching teams, and delivering marketing campaigns aligned with strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading area sales teams to meet or exceed targets.
• Strong ability to forecast demand and plan resources.
• Proven track record in MIS reporting and KPI tracking.
• Excellent relationship building with hospitals, distributors, and key accounts.

Responsibilities

• Achieve/exceed annual sales targets for the state(s).
• Manage and develop sales team to reach budgets across product lines.
• Review business performance and key metrics regularly.
• Ensure timely MIS reporting (demand planning, forecast, LMS, travel plan).
• Establish sales forecasting system for each product line.
• Maintain customer coverage as per KPIs and drive channel development.
• Lead marketing campaigns aligned with strategic priorities for each product line.

Job Description: Area Business Manager

• To achieve / exceed the agreed annual sales targets for the state/s.
• Manage, assist and support team to achieve budgeted sales for each product line
• Constantly review business performance and other metrics
• Ensure timely reporting of MIS (Demand Planning, Forecast, LMS, Travel Plan etc.)
• Establishing effective sales forecasting system for each product line in place.
• Ensure customer coverage of team members as per KPIs
• Ensure objective performance evaluation and management of team; establish a culture of constructive feedback and continuous improvement thereby developing and leading a group of energized and aggressive sales professionals
• Implement marketing campaigns as per business strategic priorities for each product line
• Travelling extensively and building strong relationships with all Hospitals, Key accounts and Distributors in the territory
• Continuously track competitor activity
• Develop, sustain and manage a strong distribution channel across the region
• Adherence to the commercial guidelines and reporting guidelines as prescribed by the Company
• Liaise internally (supply chain, Commercial) to get the required support
• Ensuring all the activities as per Company Code of Conduct
