Job summary

Archestra is hiring an Architect – Design & Technical Documentation in Hyderabad. The role requires 2–5 years of professional experience and involves design development, technical documentation, 3D visualization, and site coordination across residential and commercial projects.

You will work with senior architects, consultants and site teams to develop coordinated design documentation and support project execution. Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM/3D tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch).
• 2–5 years of professional experience in an architecture practice.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and working drawing production.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit or ArchiCAD for design development and 3D modelling.
• Working knowledge of Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape or similar rendering tools is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and coordinate electrical, plumbing and HVAC drawings.
• Familiarity with local materials and construction practices in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs, mood boards and presentation drawings for residential and commercial projects.

An architecture and design practice in Anand Nagar Colony, Hyderabad is hiring an Architect – Design & Technical Documentation with 2–5 years of professional experience to work across residential and commercial architecture projects.

The role combines design development, conceptual presentations, technical documentation, 3D visualization, consultant coordination and site execution. The Architect will work with senior architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and site teams to develop coordinated design documentation and support the execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs, mood boards and presentation drawings for residential and commercial projects.
• Support design development and project detailing in coordination with senior architects.
• Prepare detailed working drawings, sections, elevations, construction documents and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create 3D models and visualizations using SketchUp, Revit, Lumion or similar tools to communicate design intent.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, including slab drawings, brick markings and foundation details.
• Read and coordinate electrical, plumbing and HVAC drawings with architectural design and execution requirements.
• Coordinate with structural, electrical, plumbing and MEP consultants to integrate technical information into project drawing sets.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and site teams to support accurate execution of design intent.
• Conduct site visits, measurements and inspections and identify deviations from approved drawings.
• Research materials, finishes and design solutions relevant to project requirements.
• Prepare BOQs, finish schedules, material specifications and other project documentation.
• Support client presentations and incorporate design feedback into project documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs and organised project files for version control and timely delivery.
• Coordinate multiple project requirements and manage drawing and documentation deliverables within agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch).
• 2–5 years of professional experience in an architecture practice.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and working drawing production.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit or ArchiCAD for design development and 3D modelling.
• Working knowledge of Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape or similar rendering tools is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret structural working drawings, including slab drawings, brick markings and foundation details.
• Ability to read and coordinate electrical, plumbing and HVAC drawings with architectural requirements.
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, proportions, building materials, finishes and architectural detailing.
• Ability to prepare conceptual and detailed working drawings independently.
• Understanding of construction documentation and site execution processes.
• Familiarity with local materials, vendors and construction practices in Hyderabad and Telangana is an advantage.
• Exposure to site supervision or construction coordination is an advantage.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and bye-laws in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh is an advantage.
• Strong communication and design presentation skills.
• Good coordination, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with project teams.
