Job summary

Capgemini Engineering invites a seasoned Connected Vehicle Solution Architect to define and deliver connected mobility platforms, spanning vehicle, cloud, and mobile ecosystems. You will craft scalable architectures enabling seamless vehicle-to-cloud communication and smart infrastructure integration.

You will collaborate with cloud, embedded, cybersecurity, and vehicle engineering teams, producing proposals, roadmaps and OTA/IVI strategies while driving innovation in SDV and future transport

Qualifications

• 9+ years in Automotive Embedded Systems, Connected Mobility, Telematics, or Vehicle Software Engineering.
• Strong domain expertise in connected vehicle technologies and mobility ecosystems.
• Experience designing software and systems enabling vehicle connectivity across Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of connected vehicle platforms and mobility solutions.
• Define end-to-end solutions enabling vehicle-cloud-mobile-to-infrastructure connectivity.

Your Role

As a Connected Vehicle Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining and delivering connected mobility platforms and vehicle connectivity solutions. You will work across vehicle, cloud, and mobile ecosystems to design scalable architectures that enable seamless communication between vehicles, smartphones, cloud platforms, and smart infrastructure.

In this role, you will

• Lead the architecture and design of connected vehicle platforms and mobility solutions.
• Define end-to-end solutions enabling connectivity between vehicles, cloud platforms, mobile applications, and smart city infrastructure.
• Create technical proposals, solution blueprints, effort estimates, and delivery roadmaps for connected vehicle programs.
• Design architectures for telematics, connected services, and vehicle data management platforms.
• Develop solution strategies for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), Over-the-Air (OTA) software and firmware updates, and digital vehicle services.
• Define smart mobility features such as smart charging, predictive maintenance, remote diagnostics, vehicle health monitoring, and remote vehicle control.
• Collaborate with cloud, mobile, embedded, cybersecurity, and vehicle engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Define secure and scalable cloud connectivity architectures using industry-standard networking and communication protocols.
• Support customer workshops, solution presentations, technical discussions, and business pursuits.
• Drive innovation initiatives around connected mobility, software-defined vehicles, and future transportation technologies.

Your Profile

• 9+ years of experience in Automotive Embedded Systems, Connected Mobility, Telematics, or Vehicle Software Engineering.
• Strong domain expertise in connected vehicle technologies and mobility ecosystems.
• Experience designing software and systems that enable vehicle connectivity through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular (4G/5G), and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience in architecting connected vehicle solutions including IVI systems, telematics, connected services, and OTA update platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud-connected vehicle architectures and associated backend platforms.
• Experience defining and implementing smart vehicle features such as predictive maintenance, smart charging, fleet analytics, and remote vehicle operations.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and cloud communication frameworks used in connected vehicle ecosystems.
• Strong customer-facing communication, stakeholder management, and solutioning skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.

Automotive Connectivity Expertise

• Good understanding of automotive communication networks including CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, K-Line, and Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience working with Telematics Control Units (TCUs) and vehicle connectivity modules.
• Knowledge of vehicle-to-cloud, vehicle-to-mobile, and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication architectures.
• Understanding of mobile network integration, cellular connectivity management, and cloud service integration.
• Familiarity with connected vehicle cybersecurity considerations and secure communication frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architectures.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud within automotive environments.
• Knowledge of automotive standards, diagnostics, and connected vehicle regulatory requirements.
• Experience in automotive digital services, fleet management, EV ecosystems, and intelligent transportation solutions.
