Job summary

GXO Logistics in Mumbai seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to lead modernization on Google Cloud Platform, designing scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.

You will govern supply-chain and WMS platforms, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams on AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field
• 10+ years software engineering and distributed systems experience
• 5+ years hands-on GCP architecture experience
• Google Cloud certifications listed in education section

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud modernization and migration to Google Cloud Platform.
• Design microservices and event-driven architectures using Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ and other messaging platforms.
• Govern enterprise-scale WMS and supply chain platforms and collaborate with WMS implementation teams.
• Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams on architecture considerations for AI-enabled solutions.
• Serve as architectural liaison across Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, Infrastructure and Security teams.
• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers on architecture best practices.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead cloud modernization and migration efforts to Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud SQL to Cloud Spanner migration programs.
• Design and govern enterprise scale Microservices and Event Driven Architectures using Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ and other messaging platforms.
• Provide architecture leadership for supply chain and warehouse management platforms, and collaborate with WMS implementation teams on deployment and support
• Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams on architecture considerations for AI enabled solutions

Education, Qualifications and Licenses/ Certifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent related work experience
• Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, TOGAF, SAFe Architect, MuleSoft Certified Developer or Architect, or SnowPro Core

Experience

• 10 or more years of software engineering, distributed systems, cloud and application architecture experience
• 5 or more years of hands on experience architecting and implementing solutions on Google Cloud Platform
