Job summary

Jobtailor in Chennai seeks a Senior Solution Architect to steer architecture discussions for products and platforms, with an emphasis on BI and analytics. You will translate business needs into scalable, cost-efficient solutions and guide prototyping and modernization efforts.

You will work with cross-functional teams, document architecture artifacts, assess risks and value, and mentor juniors while staying current with cloud services and analytics technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or commensurate work experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Solution Architecture or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud SQL) and Azure Power BI.
• Experience designing high-availability, high-volume, low-latency technologies.
• In-depth expertise with modern analytics tools and techniques (data discovery, streaming analytics).
• Integrating Google Cloud Platform services into software applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with SDLC across engineers, designers, and product managers.

• Leads assessment of feature requirements, documenting technical gaps, and determining development requirements with a focus on performance efficiency and optimized cost.
• Drives development of solution options by analyzing and translating desired business capabilities into solution concepts and models.
• Provides point of view balancing the long-term strategy and short-term goals.
• Leads development of prototypes and proof of concepts to demonstrate new ideas and showcase the application of new technologies.
• Stays ahead of the curve, being well informed on the capabilities of various tools with hands‑on working knowledge.
• Guide product teams to get started with their modernization goals.
• Carries out interaction with the product team to conduct technical assessments of internal and external platforms and tools, covering aspects such as service interoperability, infrastructure, scalability, security, availability, data handling, licensing, and global footprint.
• Oversees maintenance of architecture artifacts, including architecture working documents and technical architecture diagrams, to depict proposed solutions and support implementation.
• Leads collaboration with project teams to document the future state, assessing the cost, risk, and business value of architecture alternatives.
• Facilitates training and development sessions to train junior team members on solution architecture technical skills and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in Solution Architecture with a Master’s degree or 5 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in solutions architecture or a related field.
• Hands on experience with GCP services, specifically Cloud Run, Big Query, Dataform, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud SQL and Azure Power BI.
• Experience with designing high-availability, high-volume, low-latency technologies.
• In-depth expertise with modern analytics tools and techniques.
• Integrating Google Cloud Platform services into software applications.
• Designing and developing software applications.
• Working with software development teams to implement and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshooting and debugging software applications.
• In-depth expertise with modern analytics tools and techniques, including data discovery, streaming analytics, and related technologies.
• Familiarity in providing technical analytic/data solutions for applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers throughout the SDLC.
• Negotiation skills and ability to work with a diverse set of partners/customers.
• Exposure and experience with Ford Architectural standards, processes, and documentation.
