Job summary

Vyom in Delhi is seeking an Architect (4-6 years) to manage project documentation from concept through handover. You will coordinate across departments, liaise with civic bodies, and interface with clients and consultants to ensure timely approvals and smooth site operations.

You will develop 2D renderings, plans, sections, elevations and manage large sheet sets, to deliver projects of varying complexity. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino/Grasshopper and BIM data exchange is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelors / Masters Degree in Architecture.
• At least 4 years’ experience in the field of Architectural consultancy.
• Good communication skills
• Solutions focused - working in an environment where readymade answers are not always available.
• Excellent communicator with confident presentation skills
• A mature approach to flexibility/willingness to travel to construction sites and design team offices as required.
• Good working command over AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, MS Office suite, etc.
• Working knowledge of drawing production, standard construction techniques and principles.
• Experience in Rhino, Grasshopper, and data exchanges between BIM platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver requisite project documents/drawings for unhindered execution of projects from conceptualisation to handover.
• Ensure adoption of drawings and documentation standards, both digital and analog.
• Ensure coordination with other department heads and smooth operations within the organisation.
• Be familiar with the National Building Code & local building bye-laws and liaise with civic bodies/related consultants for timely approvals of the project essentials.
• Regular client/consultant interface to ensure smooth flow of work at site and office.
• Coordination with the Site Execution Team to enable smooth operations and enable Client Interface as and when required.
• To prepare 2D rendering of concept designs and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
• Develop plans, sections, elevations and details for projects of all sizes and technical complexities.
• Setup and manage large sheets sets including revisions and mark-ups for each project. Plot drawings to pdf, DWG, or to paper plots.
• Review/Manage periodically the professional/disciplinary facets of the team to achieve productivity and report the same periodically to the Reporting Head.
• Ability to perform consistently under reasonable pressure.
