Nextra, based in Delhi, invites an experienced Architect to lead design for commercial and mixed-use developments. The role emphasizes independent design development, coordination with consultants, and on-site execution while maintaining client alignment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in offices, retail, malls, corporate campuses, and strong fluency with AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, with COA registration and a passion for sustainable design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience with a focus on commercial projects.
• Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural design for commercial and mixed-use development projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, layouts, floor plans, and detailed working drawings for commercial spaces.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior, and other consultants to ensure design integration.
• Ensure designs comply with local building bye-laws, fire safety norms, and statutory approvals for commercial buildings.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
• Prepare presentations, 3D visualizations, and design documentation for client approvals.
• Liaise with government authorities for approvals and NOCs related to commercial projects.
• Manage project timelines, coordinate with contractors, and resolve on-site design issues.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and design team members.
• Stay updated with sustainable design practices, materials, and technologies relevant to commercial spaces.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Architect to join our team based in Mayur Vihar. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, sound technical knowledge, and proven experience in commercial projects such as office spaces, retail developments, malls, corporate campuses, and mixed‑use commercial buildings. This role requires someone who can independently handle design development, coordination, and execution while working closely with clients, consultants, and site teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong focus on commercial projects (offices, retail, malls, corporate campuses).
• Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other relevant design software.
• Working knowledge of local development control regulations, fire and safety codes, and municipal approval processes for commercial buildings.
• Strong understanding of space planning, commercial building typologies, and facade design.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with developers or corporates on commercial projects in Delhi NCR.
• Familiarity with green building norms (GRIHA/IGBC/LEED) is a plus.
• Experience in vendor and contractor coordination.
