Job summary

FIS is seeking an Application Support professional in Pune, India, focused on Linux, SQL/Oracle, and scripting. The role requires 2–4 years of SRE-related experience in a production environment and hands-on familiarity with deployment, SSL, and ITIL processes.

You will work in a 24/7 shift model, supporting a financial services production stack with tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and monitoring platforms, in a collaborative team at a leading FinTech company.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SRE experience with Linux, SQL/Oracle, and scripting.
• Experience with infrastructure setup, deployment, SSL, and package installation (yum, rpm).
• Production support experience, Unix commands and Unix shell scripting knowledge.
• Familiarity with Putty for application access.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Bitbucket.
• Monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
• ITIL and SRE process knowledge.
• Knowledge of web/server architecture (Tomcat, IBM MQ).

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support activities for a software production processing environment
• Installs, maintains and supports application/source code and/or its components and subsystems including third party software
• Detects, diagnoses and reports related problems
• Analyzes and resolves incidents, problems or known errors related to failures in application and supporting software components
• Provides technical assistance to programming staff in the analysis of application software amends, performance and resource consumption
• Will be working in 24/7 Rotational Shifts

Transfer Agency is a product that Shareholder record keeping activity for Mutual Fund transactions. This stream of information has to be stored, aggregated and analyzed interfacing with different upstream/downstream applications and vendors like Banks, CC, Stock Exchanges etc., Transfer Agency optimizes the Capital Stock Activity, Account Statements, Ledger Reports etc., in one central location.

What You Will Be Doing

• Working Experience in Production support, Good Knowledge in Unix commands and Unix Shell Scripting
