Softenger in Pune is seeking an Applications Support/Data Engineering TechOps L2 professional to ensure stability and high availability of a large-scale data platform.

You will work in a 24x7 rotational shift, handling incidents, monitoring dashboards, and collaborating with L1/L3 teams to maintain SOPs and operational reports.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in TechOps or Platform Support within a Data Engineering ecosystem.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in Spark, Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, ELK, Hadoop, and Linux.
• Experience monitoring and debugging workloads in Kubernetes/EKS.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift model.

Responsibilities

• L2 Operations: Manage day-to-day operations and L2 support for the Data Engineering Platform to meet strict SLOs.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues across Spark, Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, ELK, Hadoop, and Linux.
• Incident Management: RCA, service restoration, and user escalations.
• Monitoring & Alerts: Maintain dashboards, metrics, and alerts using the ELK stack and monitor Kubernetes/EKS and Java APIs.
• Automation: Develop automation scripts and self-healing mechanisms to reduce manual effort.
• Collaboration: Partner with L1 and L3 teams, and maintain SOPs and operational reports.

Job DescriptionRole Overview:

We are hiring a Data Engineering TechOps / L1/ L2 Support Engineer with 1+ years of experience. You will ensure the stability, monitoring, and high availability of our large-scale Data Engineering Platform. This role requires working in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• L2 Operations: Manage day-to-day operations and L2 support for the Data Engineering Platform to meet strict SLOs.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues across Spark, Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, S3, and Hadoop.
• Incident Management: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), service restoration, and handle user escalations.
• Monitoring & Alerts: Maintain dashboards, metrics, and alerts using the ELK stack and monitor Kubernetes/EKS and Java APIs.
• Automation: Develop automation scripts and self-healing mechanisms to reduce manual effort.
• Collaboration: Partner with L1 and L3 teams, and maintain SOPs and operational reports.

Required Profile (Must-Haves):

• Experience: 1+ years in TechOps or Platform Support within a Data Engineering ecosystem.
• Technical Stack: Hands-on troubleshooting in Spark, Airflow, Kafka, NiFi, ELK, Hadoop, and Linux.
• Infrastructure: Experience monitoring and debugging workloads in Kubernetes/EKS.
• Shift Flexibility: Must be willing to work in a 24x7 rotational shift model.

Preferred Skills (Good-to-Haves):

• Domain experience in the Telecom sector.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, Aerospike).
• Familiarity with DataHub tools, Data Mesh, or Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
