Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. Manufacturing IT is seeking a detail‑oriented Subject Matter Expert with ETL/ELT, SQL, SSRS, and Power BI experience to design and develop Quality cards and reports, and participate in new feature development and testing.

The role also serves as a Business Analyst during implementation—gathering requirements, coordinating testing with business users, and documenting methodologies while upholding safety and integrity values.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of MES system experience and strong ETL/ELT background.
• Proficient in SQL, Report Builder and Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• MS Excel expertise (formulas, macros) and basic C# knowledge is a plus.

Job description

The Manufacturing IT at Hitachi Energy provide world class services to support the manufacturing processes across different disciplines of Hitachi Energy, ranging from machine control, execution system, scheduling, quality control and analytics.

The Manufacturing IT at Hitachi Energy are looking to onboard a Self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert with experience of ETL/ ELT process and SQL, SSRS reports – report builder, Power BI tools. This role will see you work on designing, development of Quality cards and its reports (PBI report builder) as well as in new feature(s) development, testing and implementations - expanding the business' data quality. This position also demands the role Business Analyst during implementation phase – for requirement gathering, analysis of the requirements, close contact with the key business users for communication of implementation updates as well as coordination of testing process/ activities.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Data Integration using Extract/Transform/Load processes from SQL database
• Data Visualization and reporting using PowerBI Report Builder
• New feature development, testing and implementations related to task area
• Optimization of queries and reports to fetch and display data from SQL
• Updating documentation – methodologies, findings, and process
• Communication and collaboration with stakeholder on various levels of seniority

Your background:

• 3+ years’ experience in MES system
• Knowledge of SQL (and ETL processes), Report Builder and PowerBI
• You have good knowledge on MS office (especially Excel – formulas, macros)
• Basic knowledge of C#, Visual Studio, Power Automate will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details and can think out-of-the-box
• Good communication skills, and you are a team player
