Trelleborg India Private Limited, based in Bangalore, seeks an experienced Application Engineer – Oil & Gas to provide technical support to the sales team and customers. The role includes handling technical enquiries, conducting failure analyses, and proposing suitable technical solutions to safeguard and grow business.

Ideal candidates have BE in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years in Oil & Gas & OEM, CRM knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience of 5-7 years in Oil & Gas and OEM sectors.
• Knowledge of seals, hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
• Strong customer focus and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Study engineering action requests and customer drawings to prepare proposals.
• Support seal installation through proto development.
• Investigate seal failures and prepare failure analysis reports with expert guidance.
• Engage in customer technical trainings and site visits as needed.
• Manage projects and maintain project reports.
• Track customer and supplier drawings, standards, and quotes.
• Participate in exhibitions and technical seminars to promote products.
• Promote new seals in customer applications.

We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer – Oil & Gas to join our Sales Department. This position is based in Bangalore.

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team and customers by addressing all types of technical enquiries related to products and applications. The role includes managing customer projects, conducting seal failure analysis to investigate performance-related issues, and recommending appropriate technical solutions.

The Application Engineer is expected to possess strong technical expertise and product knowledge to effectively respond to customer requirements, resolve technical challenges, and safeguard existing business while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Study the EAR (Engineering action request), customer drawing/technical specification, seal selection and make the proposal drawing for potential customers.
• Proto development, to support the seal installation.
• In case of any seal failure, to study & find out the possible reasons. Sending the failure analysis report taking guidance from experts.
• Understanding Customer Technical training and visiting the customers along with CSR as & when required
• Handling the projects & maintaining the project report.
• Tracking the customer & supplier drawings, standards, quotes etc.
• Participate in promotional activities like exhibition, technical seminars etc.
• Promote new seals in our customer application.
• Process knowledge of Oil & Gas Segment

About The Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience:

• BE in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-7 years of experience in Oil & Gas & OEM
• Experience in application engineering & design with respective customers.
• Familiar with CRM Software.
• Strong Knowledge on Business Sales and Marketing Practices
• Knowledge in seals, Hydraulics and Pneumatics Systems Preferred
• Process knowledge of Oil & Gas segment.
• Knowledge on Rubber/Plastics products
• Excellent customer focus and understanding of total customer satisfaction

Competencies

• Strong communication, attitude, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical aptitude beneficial
