Job summary

Beckhoff Automation - INDIA is seeking an Application Engineer to develop machine programs per customer specs and deliver technical training in a fast-paced environment. You will document project activities and stay updated on Beckhoff technologies, applying IEC 61131-3 languages and object-oriented approaches.

With 0–3 years' experience, you will collaborate with customers to select proper automation solutions, work with PLCs, motion controllers, robotics and HMI tech, and support projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in E&TC/ electronics/ instrumentation/ mechatronics.
• 0–3 years of work experience.
• Experience with IEC 61131-3 languages, including OO extensions.
• Understanding of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, distributed I/O, fieldbus (EtherCAT) and HMI.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine programs according to customer specifications.
• Offer standard and custom training to support Beckhoff products and projects.
• Document and record all project activities.
• Maintain a high degree of relevant technical knowledge for listed responsibilities.
• Advise customers on technology selection, use, maintenance, and training.

Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision. We are a representative office in Mumbai, India, and we are actively expanding our team and looking for a suitable application engineer.

Responsibilities

• develop machine programs according to customer specifications
• offering standard and custom training to support Beckhoff products and projects
• documentation and recording of all project activities
• maintain a high degree of relevant technical knowledge to fulfil the listed job responsibilities.
• advise customers on proper technology selection, use, maintenance, and training for specific applications

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. (E&TC, electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics)
• 0 to 3 years of work experience
• experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including (object-oriented extensions)
• understanding of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, distributed I/O, fieldbus systems (EtherCAT) and HMI technologies
• previous technical training and / or Beckhoff Automation experience
• visual Studio and/or object-oriented programming (OOP) in automation
• strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team
• excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and/or departmental meetings in English
