Job summary

HUBER+SUHNER India is seeking an Applications Engineer / Solutions Engineer to engage customers, understand their technical requirements, and propose robust fiber optic and network solutions. You will participate in pre-sales activities, deliver technical presentations, and assist in product qualification and deployments across telecom, data center, and enterprise environments.

• 4–8 years of experience in Application Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales, System Engineering, or Customer Support.
• Strong background in Fiber Optics, Optical Communication, Telecom Networks, Broadband Networks, or Data Center Infrastructure.
• Good understanding of Ethernet networking and optical transport technologies.
• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with global customers and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and R&D teams to support business opportunities and customer projects.
• Provide technical training and product knowledge to customers and partners.
• Collect customer feedback and market requirements to support future product development.
• Support customer visits, trade shows, workshops, and technical events.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with optical transceivers (SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP28, QSFP-DD, OSFP).
• Knowledge of CWDM, DWDM, Fiber Channel, and optical transport networks.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Nokia, Ciena, Dell, HPE, or similar networking platforms.
• Experience supporting telecom operators, data centers, system integrators, or network equipment vendors.
