Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to automotive customers during and after product development.
• Troubleshoot bearing application problems and support customers with performance enhancements.
• Educate customers on bearing handling, mounting/dismounting and measurement methods.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project closure.
• Initiate partnership projects with customer R&D and support bearing selection and L10 life calculations.
• Prepare application input sheets to capture technical requirements.
• Develop application guidelines/handbooks and promote NBC portfolio.
• Review customer specs and translate requirements into innovative product solutions.
• Monitor competitor activity and define action plans accordingly.
• Provide technical proposals using calculations during application and design feasibility.
• Identify gaps in RFQ processes and define new tools to speed delivery.
• Support quality team during root cause analysis and closure of quality complaints.

Job description

• Provide Technical support to automotive customers during and post product development.
• Troubleshoot the problems related to bearing applications and support the internal and external customer and provide ideas for performance enhancement.
• Educate and support customer for bearing handling, mounting, and dismounting, aligning dimensional measurement methods with NBC.
• Co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders for project closure.
• Initiate Partnership projects with customer R&D and Support them in bearing selection, L10 life calculations, VA/VE activities etc.
• Preparation of application specific input sheets to capture technical requirement.
• Prepare application related guidelines/ handbook for application specific products Promote NEI product portfolio (Existing and advanced)
• Review customer specifications and transfer customer requirements, industry trends, and application knowledge into innovative, high value platform integrated products and solutions. Monitor competitor activities in respect of products and technical development and define activity plan accordingly
• Provide technical proposals to customer using manual or software-based calculations during application and design feasibility. Process Improvement
• Identify and improve gaps in existing RFQ processes
• Define new tools/processes to fasten the delivery timelines
• Support quality team during root cause analysis and closure of the quality complaints.

Educational Qualifications / Technical Training/ Certifications:

• B. Tech/B. E. (with relevant experience)/M. Tech/M. E. in Mechanical Engineering Relevant and total years of Experience
• 5-8 years in automotive industry (Tier2 /Tier 1 Supplier Application Engineering /product design, OEM product engineering)
