Job summary

Starflex Sealing in Mumbai is seeking an Application Engineer with extensive experience to understand customer technical requirements and provide product and application solutions. You will study drawings, prepare proposals, coordinate with multiple departments, and support customers through testing and implementation.

The role requires deep knowledge of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and proficiency with AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 34 years of experience in Application Engineering or similar manufacturing roles.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer technical requirements and provide suitable product/application solutions.
• Study customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, product selections, quotations, and application recommendations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, Quality, and R&D teams for customer requirements.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Support customers during product selection, installation, trials, and technical issues.
• Conduct product/application testing and prepare technical reports.
• Identify application problems and provide effective technical solutions.
• Assist in new product development and product improvement activities.
• Conduct customer visits and technical discussions when required.
• Provide technical support to the Sales & Marketing team.
• Maintain application-related documents, reports, drawings, and customer records.
• Ensure solutions comply with quality, safety, and technical standards.
• Follow up on customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
