Job summary

Drishti Consultants in Pune seeks a mechanical/technical specialist to support pre-sales and product development. You will collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical guidance on product selection and applications, conduct demonstrations, and translate needs into compelling proposals.

You will also design new products and parts using CAD tools, prepare BOMs, ensure compliance with mechanical standards, and manage ECN/ECR processes to keep products

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide pre-sales technical support.
• Advise on product selection and application suitability to meet customer needs.
• Offer detailed guidance on product features and scenarios to customers and internal teams.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to address technical queries.
• Translate customer technical requirements into technical proposals.
• Design new products, assemblies and parts, including BOMs and CAD models.
• Proficient in CREO and Windchill.
• Prepare BOMs for finalized products.
• Create application rules and technical guidelines.
• Assess mechanical regulations and standards across countries for EU comparison.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices/Requests (ECN/ECR).

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the sales team to grasp customer requirements and offer technical assistance throughout the pre‑sales process.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on product selection and application suitability to effectively meet customer needs
• Deliver comprehensive support regarding product features, functionalities, and application scenarios to both internal teams and external customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase capabilities and address technical queries effectively.
• Define customer technical requirements and translate them into compelling technical proposals.
• Develop innovative solutions aligned with customer needs while ensuring competitiveness and profitability for the organization.
• Designing new products, assemblies and individual parts, including the creation of master data, bill of materials, CAD models and drawings
• Proficient in CREO and Windchill
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for finalized products
• Creation of application rules and technical guidelines
• Analysis and evaluation of the mechanical regulations and standards valid in the respective country concerning their applicability and impact on our products, including comparison with corresponding EU standards
• Responsible for product changes such as Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), etc
