Job summary

Flowserve India Controls Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Application Engineer (Staff) with 2–8 years of experience to prepare techno-commercial quotations for reliability seal systems and to review specifications, P&ID, and ISA datasheets for RFQs.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams, selecting components, monitoring bid progress, and supporting customers through technical and commercial clarifications while ensuring compliance with API 682/610/614 and ASME/IEC standards.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech - Instrumentation engineering or equivalent.
• 2–8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of RFQ processes and techno-commercial quotations.
• Knowledge of API 682, API 610, API 614 and standards like ASME, IEC.
• Strong communication in English.
• Ability to coordinate across internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare techno commercial quotations for reliability seal systems for rotating equipment in response to RFQs.
• Review project specifications and prepare summaries / extracts; read instrumentation specs, P&ID and ISA datasheets.
• Select components (valves, flanges, fittings, piping) and field instruments.
• Lead multiple projects and document/track communications and revisions.
• Coordinate with internal resources for technical and commercial information for proposals.
• Review bid documents, warranties, incoterms, and customer terms.
• Monitor quotation progress and maintain master spreadsheets.
• Participate in technical/commercial clarification meetings with customers.
• Cost auxiliary systems/panels and coordinate with supply chain for best costing.
• Review orders to ensure compliance with proposals and prepare transfer files to Operations.
• Work with internal tools and sizing software.
• Attend trainings and perform other duties as directed.

Application Engineer - STAFF Position requirements

• Prepare techno commercial quotations for reliability seal systems for rotating equipment in response to request for quotations (RFQ's) in the required time frame
• Proficiency in primary project specifications review and preparing summary / extract, knowledge on reading instrumentation specifications, P&ID and on creating ISA datasheets and other documentations as requested in the RFQ/ specification
• Knowledge on selection of components like valves, flanges, fittings and piping / tubing
• Selection of field instruments like pressure, level, flow & temperature, regulators suitable for various process conditions
• Knowledge on project management and capability to lead multiple projects at the same time and well versed in documenting / tracking project communication and revision management.
• Coordinate with internal resources to obtain technical and commercial information needed for the proposal.
• Knowledge on reviewing bid documents, warranties, incoterms payment terms and experience in handling customer’s terms and conditions.
• Monitor the quotation progress throughout the entire bid cycle and maintain master spread sheets to manage project effectively
• Participate in technical/commercial clarification meeting with customer by coordinating with relevant resources, providing response to customer technical queries (TQs)
• Hands on experience in costing auxiliary systems / panels, coordinating supply chain / buyer on getting best costing for subcomponents
• Understand and able to work with internal tools, sizing software, administrative tools
• Review the order to ensure compliance with Flowserve's original proposal and all agreed upon changes, and make the clean & accurate order transfer files to Operations.
• Knowledge on API 682, API 610, API 614 is required, Additional knowledge on international standards like ASME, IEC, NEC, CSA, ATEX will be an added advantage
• Actively participate and complete all selected company sponsored trainings as scheduled.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the Reporting manager
