Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru is seeking an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to contribute to protection projects, including testing and commissioning of line, transformer, busbar and generator protection relays.

You will validate IED configurations using PCM600, DIGSI, Agile S1 Studio, Easergy Studio and EnerVista; perform fault analysis with Wavein or Sigra; guide sales with technical solutions and shaping specifications before proposals; train users, and uphold

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience testing and commissioning protection relays for lines, transformers, busbars and generators.
• Familiar with control and relay panel schematics.
• Hands-on with IED configuration tools (PCM600, DIGSI, Agile S1 Studio, Easergy Studio, EnerVista).
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate relay settings for HV line, transformer, busbar, and generator protection.
• Validate IED configuration and perform application checks.
• Work with Wavein or Sigra for fault analysis.
• Provide technical solutions to sales teams during early stages of the sales process.
• Drive specification influence before RFQ, proofs of concept, homologation, and solution designs.
• Collaborate with global, HUB and local teams for technical enablement and education on products.
• Impart training to internal and external customers on protections.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.

Your responsibilities:

• Worked with calculation and co-ordination of relay settings for HV Line, Transformer, Busbar, and Generator protection.

• Should impart training to internal and external customers on Protections.

Your background:

• BE/B.Tech - Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Work experience in Testing and Commissioning of Line, Transformer, Busbar, Generator protection relays and Substation Automation System.
• Should have been well versed with control and relay panels schematic drawings.
• Should have worked on IEDs configuration tools like PCM600, DIGSI, Agile S1 Studio, Easergy Studio, EnerVista, etc.
• Should have worked with Wavein or Sigra for fault analysis.
• Should have working knowledge of protocols such as IEC61850, Modbus, etc.,
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
