Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; 4–8 years in commissioning and engineering for 66kV+.
  • Proficiency in CAD design tools like Zuken E3, AutoCAD, Elecdes or equivalent.
  • Experience in Secondary Control and Protection Schematic Design, Relays/IED configuration.
  • Strong coordination skills and high technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of PCM, Micom, Digsi IED configuration tools; test kits such as Omicron.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Key Line Diagrams, Protection Interface Diagrams, Feeder Block Diagrams & Trip Matrix, signal lists and interlocks per specifications.
  • Prepare schematics for Control & Relay Panels, including retrofit projects.
  • Create Cable Block Diagrams, relay ordering information, Cable Schedules and wiring/labeling lists.
  • Ensure compliance with external/internal regulations and guidelines; coordinate with teams for timely delivery.

Job Description

The opportunity: Design authority for Control & Protection engineering tasks of low to medium complexity. Work on projects, ensuring the work is completed cost-effectively and in line with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Based on customer technical specifications and inputs from the Europe Engineering team, Prepare Control & Protection schematics up to 400 kV, along with the Bill of Materials, engineering hour estimates, and technical risk and opportunity assessments. Coordinate closely with Engineering Leads to ensure smooth and accurate project execution.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Prepare Key Line Diagrams, Protection Interface Diagrams, Feeder Block Diagrams & Trip Matrix, signal lists and interlocks in line with customer technical specifications.
  • Prepare schematics for Control & Relay Panel schematics for new and existing setups, especially for retrofit projects.
  • Prepare Cable Block Diagrams, relay ordering information, Cable Schedules and create lists for wiring, termination, and labelling for panel manufacturing.
Essential knowledge
  • Essential knowledge of Primary Equipment, Bay Controller Units, SCADA, RTU, and Tele protection.
  • Interface between AC Panels, DC Panels, Auxiliary Transformers, Battery, ACDC Cable Sizing, AIS & GIS secondary designs and work with various departments for design progress and completion.
  • Conduct technical risk and opportunity assessments and estimate engineering hours and validate inputs.
  • Collaboration with the team, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and ensure timely delivery with high-quality results.

Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Should have 4 to 8 years in commissioning and Engineering for Voltage level above 66kV.
  • Proficiency in CAD design tools like Zuken E3, AutoCAD, Elecdes or equivalent.
  • Experience in Secondary Control and Protection Schematic Design, Relays/IEDs configuration.
  • High technical experience with strong coordination skills.
  • Know how in PCM, Micom, Digsi IED configuration tools.
  • Knowledge on test kits such as Omicron (CMC 356 & 256), Doble & other test kit.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
