Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Bengaluru to ensure the efficiency of operations and to provide technical support during the sales process. You will coordinate relay settings and ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, while also providing training on protections.

The ideal candidate will have a BE/B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in relevant tools and protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience in Testing and Commissioning of protective relays.
• Well-versed with control and relay panel schematic drawings.
• Working knowledge of IEC61850 and Modbus protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate relay settings for HV Line, Transformer, Busbar, and Generator protection.
• Provide technical solution support during the sales process.
• Drive activities like solution designs and proof of concepts.
• Conduct training for internal and external customers on Protections.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company guidelines.

The Opportunity

Your Responsibilities

• Worked with calculation and co-ordination of relay settings for HV Line, Transformer, Busbar, and Generator protection.
• Validation of IED configuration and do application checks for functions.
• Worked with Wavein or Sigra for fault analysis.
• You provide technical solution/product support to sales teams during the early stages of the sales process.
• You drive key activities such as specification influence prior to requests for proposals, proof of concepts, homologation, and solution designs to solve customer pain points.
• You work closely with respective counterparts within the global, HUB and local organizations to ensure continuous technical enablement and education on the latest product and solution offering.
• Should impart training to internal and external customers on Protections.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• BE/B.Tech - Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Work experience in Testing and Commissioning of Line, Transformer, Busbar, Generator protection relays and Substation Automation System.
• Should have been well versed with control and relay panels schematic drawings.
• Should have worked on IEDs configuration tools like PCM600, DIGSI, Agile S1 Studio, Easergy Studio, EnerVista, etc.
• Should have worked with Wavein or Sigra for fault analysis.
• Should have working knowledge of protocols such as IEC61850, Modbus, etc.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
