Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Navi Mumbai is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to manage chemical plant operations on-site. The role covers operating pumps, reactors, and pipelines, monitoring temperatures, pressures, and flows, and ensuring SOP compliance for safe, efficient production.

Applicants with 3–5 years in the chemical industry and batch-process exposure will fit best. You will log operational data and collaborate with maintenance during start-ups, shut-downs, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years experience in chemical industry
• Experience with batch processes
• Ability to follow SOP and strict safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, reactors, and pipelines.
• Ensure smooth operation of the chemical plant as per standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Monitor process parameters like temperature, pressure, flow, and level.
• Perform routine checks and maintain records of plant operations in log sheets.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunction or abnormal plant conditions.
• Assist in plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with plant safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for troubleshooting and repairs.
