Founded in 2010 in Mumbai by four animal welfare advocates, the Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA) is a registered charity dedicated to promoting humane human‑animal coexistence. YODA provides critical services such as medical care for injured or abandoned animals, behavioural rehabilitation, and sheltering animals in need until they are adopted or able to return to their environments. The organization is committed to reducing stray animal populations through vaccination and sterilization programs and works to combat diseases like rabies. YODA also focuses on educating and raising awareness to eliminate animal cruelty and foster compassion among communities.

Role

This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Sanguem for an Animal Birth Control Center Manager. The manager will oversee the daily operations of the birth control centre, coordinating sterilisation and vaccination programmes for stray animals. Key responsibilities include managing the centre’s staff and resources, maintaining accurate medical and administrative records, and ensuring adherence to animal welfare standards. The individual will also be tasked with community engagement to promote awareness about sterilisation and vaccination programmes while actively collaborating with stakeholders, volunteers, and veterinary professionals.
