Role

As a Veterinarian at Raksha, you will be responsible for delivering medical care, performing surgeries, and ensuring the overall well‑being of animals under our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses in dogs and cats
• Perform routine and emergency surgeries (sterilizations, wound management, etc.)
• Administer vaccinations and preventive care
• Develop treatment plans and monitor recovery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Guide and train support staff and volunteers
• Ensure hygiene and medical protocols are followed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc & AH) or equivalent
• Minimum 2–5 years of hands‑on clinical experience
• Experience with small animals (dogs & cats) is essential
• Strong surgical skills preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to animal welfare
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, resource‑constrained environment
