Job summary

Synopsys India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks an Anaplan Model Builder to drive connected planning and forecasting. You will translate business requirements into scalable Anaplan models and serve as the SME for large-scale solutions across global teams.

The role involves data integration, UAT leadership, and hands-on training for end users, enabling accurate forecasts and improved decision-making. Strong collaboration with FP&A is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology Information Systems or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in operations or FP&A leveraging Anaplan, or completion of 3+ Anaplan implementation projects as a Model Builder.
• Certified Anaplan Model Builder, level 2 or higher.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Snowflake and other integration tools is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with multi-dimensional or cube-based planning and reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of business processes.

• Converts existing solutions, spreadsheets, and business problems into sophisticated Anaplan multi-dimensional models.

• Leads UAT testing and deployment efforts.
• Collaborates with Strategy and FP&A teams on modelling and reporting best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serving as the Model Builder SME for large-scale connected planning solutions.
• Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
• Translating business requirements into functional requirements and use cases.

• Modifying existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality.

• Operating cross-functionally with some ambiguity, providing expertise to Strategy and FP&A teams on best practices for modelling and reporting.
• Building and developing Anaplan modules and lists based on model blueprints.
• Configuring and maintaining Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and other model settings to meet business needs.
• Monitoring data flows to and from source systems to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate.
• Performing root cause analyses and proposing solutions.
• Providing hands‑on training to new end users on Anaplan models and documenting processes.
