Job summary

Anaplan is seeking a Sr. Application Analyst within the Finance and Workforce CoE to lead the development and scaling of Finance Applications across planning, forecasting and reporting, including Revenue and Profitability.

You will ensure high engineering standards while guiding the technical roadmap and team performance. In this role you will mentor Application Builders, collaborate with Finance Product Management and Solution Architects to translate complex requirements into scalable designs,

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in enterprise software development or financial systems, with at least 3 years leading Anaplan implementation teams.
• Certified Anaplan Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner with deep proficiency in multi‑dimensional modeling and the full Anaplan platform suite.
• Leadership: manage technical teams in an Agile environment and navigate cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Domain Knowledge: strong understanding of CFO functions, including Financial Close, Consolidation, and FP&A processes.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree; MBA or Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery: Lead a team of Application Builders to deliver high-quality Finance Applications, meeting deadlines and architectural standards.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with Finance Product Management and Solution Architects to translate complex requirements into scalable designs.
• Technical Oversight: Enforce UX standards and engineering best practices for intuitive, performant applications.
• Continuous Improvement: Integrate new Anaplan platform capabilities (AI, Workflow, Polaris) into existing applications based on feedback.
• Ecosystem Enablement: Collaborate with GTM and Professional Services for demos, implementation guides, and best practices.
• SME Leadership: Act as the internal and external technical expert for Finance Applications, supporting critical sales opportunities and escalations.

In this role within the Finance and Workforce Center of Excellence (CoE), you will lead the development and scaling of applications for planning, forecasting, and reporting, including Revenue, Profitability, and Strategic Finance Planning. You will ensure high engineering standards while managing the technical roadmap and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery: Lead a team of Application Builders to deliver high-quality Finance Applications, meeting strict deadlines and architectural standards.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with Finance Product Management and Solution Architects to translate complex requirements into scalable designs.
• Technical Oversight: Enforce UX standards and engineering best practices for intuitive, performant, and maintainable applications.
• Continuous Improvement: Integrate new Anaplan platform capabilities (AI, Workflow, Polaris) into existing applications based on market and customer feedback.

• On-Time Delivery: Manage release cycles and upgrade project deadlines for the Finance portfolio successfully.
• Solution Adoption: Measure quality and scalability of applications through customer implementation success and internal enablement metrics.
• Team Performance: Assess growth, certification levels, and output quality of the application building team.

Qualifications

• Professional Experience: 4-6 years in enterprise software development or financial systems, with at least 3 years leading Anaplan implementation teams.
