Job summary

Anaplan is seeking a seasoned Model Builder in Gurugram to design, develop, optimize, and support scalable planning models that drive business decisions across finance, workforce, sales, and supply chain.

You will partner with stakeholders and architects to translate complex requirements into high-performing Anaplan solutions, following DISCO and Planual standards. This role demands collaboration across cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of professional experience with 2+ years hands-on Anaplan model building.
• Certified Anaplan Model Builder certification.
• Experience building enterprise-scale Anaplan solutions.
• Strong understanding of Lists and Hierarchies, Modules and Line Items, Versions and Time, UX Pages and Dashboards, Actions and Processes, ALM, Selective Access and Security.
• Experience with formulas including LOOKUP, SUM, SELECT, TIMESUM, MOVINGSUM, RANK, IF THEN ELSE.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Anaplan models supporting multiple planning domains.
• Translate business requirements into scalable multidimensional models.
• Develop modules, lists, hierarchies, dashboards, UX pages, actions, and calculations.
• Implement model-building best practices including DISCO methodology and Planual standards.
• Configure imports, exports, integrations, and data synchronization processes.
• Optimize model performance, reduce sparsity, and improve calculation efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve model, data, and process issues.
• Support UAT, deployment, and production releases.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and business teams during solution design.
• Maintain technical documentation, model documentation, and process guides.
• Manage model security, selective access, roles, and workspace administration.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and platform adoption.

• Certified Anaplan Model Builder certification.
• Experience building enterprise-scale Anaplan solutions.
• Strong understanding of:

• Exposure to Python, SQL, or ETL tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of Connected Planning architecture.
