Job summary

Xylem is seeking a proactive Procurement professional to support its supply chain functions in Vadodara, India. The role focuses on compliance management, HS classification, contract management, market analysis, and data-driven reporting to drive continuous improvement.

Candidates should have a mechanical engineering background with 2-6 years in supply chain, import/export, and execution methodologies, plus strong Excel and ERP skills. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
• 2-year Master Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering (optional per job path).
• 3–6 years’ experience in supply chain, import/export and execution methodologies in mechanical categories.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis.

Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience).

• 3 to 6 years’ experience in supply chain, Import/export and Execution methodologies in mechanical categories

OR

• 4-Year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering
• 2-Year Master Degree in Mechanical engineering/Production Engineering
• 1 to 4 years’ experience in supply chain, Import/export and Execution methodologies in mechanical categories

Key technical skills and knowledge.

• Basic knowledge of various manufacturing process like casting, Fabrication, injection molding etc.
• Understanding on tariff determination & HS classification governance
• Understanding on Import & Export compliance regulations
• Ability to identify material used, manufacturing process, etc.
• Sound problem-solving and data analytical skills.
• System Knowledge : ERP systems & its application
• Advanced Excel ( Pivot Tables, Power query etc.)
• Proficiency in Creo a plus
• Project / Program Management skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage tasks/priorities.
• Effective communication in English is must.
• Microsoft office package – Excel and PowerPoint. – Experienced user.
