Job summary

WPP in Mumbai is seeking a Commerce Graduate with 4-7 years of GL accounting and RTR/financial reporting experience to handle general ledger activities, month-end closings, and journal entries.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, support audits, ensure internal controls and SOX compliance, and prepare P&L and balance sheet schedules. The role favors Mumbai-based candidates and a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Commerce graduate with 4-7 years of GL Accounting & RTR / Financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of GL Accounting & RTR processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general ledger accounting and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Coordinating with auditors for Interim audit and providing the details / schedules required by them.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet along with all schedule and other reports required by management.
• Doing monthly analysis of P&L and Balance sheet items and highlight major variances/ observations to management.
• Handling all GL related queries thru mails & calls from OPCO Team, Inter department, Agency & Region.

What you'll be doing:

You will need :

• Education: Commerce Graduare with 4 - 7 years of experience into GL Accounting & RTR / Financial reporting
