Job summary

WPP is seeking an Analyst - Accounts Payable for ANZ on a contract basis in Mumbai. The role entails processing PO and Non-PO invoices, ensuring correct GL mapping, and supporting month-end close with accurate, timely payments.

You should have 2–3 years of AP experience, a Graduate degree, and strong MS Office skills. The position is based at Vikhroli, Mumbai, in-office with an early start and offers a collaborative environment at WPP.

Responsibilities

• Processing PO and Non-PO invoices for payments.
• Assigning GL accounts and cost centres for non-PO invoices.
• Providing solutions for internal requests (RFIs).
• Handling TDB invoices and future provisions.
• Working on rejected invoices from approvers.
• Clarifying reserve status for on-hold client invoices.
• Monitoring aging documents and meeting TAT.
• EOD recording and invoice completion reporting.
• Investigating vendor escalations for unpaid invoices.
• Assisting in month-end closing.
• Matching PO invoices with GR (2-way/3-way).
• Root-cause analysis of transaction differences.
• Investigating supplier queries and providing solutions.

What you'll be doing:

• Processing Purchase Order (PO) and Non-Purchase Order (Non-PO) invoices for payments.
• Assigning respective GL account and cost centres for non-PO invoices.
• Providing solutions for internal requests created by team members. (RFI’s)
• Working on TDB invoices. (Provisions for future payments).
• Working on rejected invoices from approver.
• Providing sales line (clients) the reserve status for those invoices which are on hold.
• Monitoring aging documents and taking correct actions to meet the TAT.
• EOD reporting of Recording and invoice completion.
• Investigating and taking correct action on escalations from vendor for unpaid invoices.
• Assisting in month end closing.
• Comparing and processing PO Invoices with goods receipt (GR). (Two -way match and three -way match).
• Root cause analysis to identify the type of differences in the transaction.
• Investigating supplier queries and providing solutions.
• Highlighting the mistakes received from the supplier.
• Review and achieve daily and monthly target.

What you'll need:

• Should be ok with 6-9 months contract job.
• Shift - 6:30 AM onwards (Early Morning Shift).
• Location - Vikhroli, Mumbai (WFO).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
• Minimum Graduate.
• Should be an experienced problem solver with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to achieve results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Advanced MS office skills.
