Job summary

WPP in Mumbai is seeking an Analyst - RTR (ANZ) to manage general ledger accounting, month-end close and financial reporting within the ANZ region. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.

The role requires 4–7 years of experience in GL/RTR, strong process knowledge, and adherence to internal controls and SOX. You will coordinate with auditors, produce P&L and balance sheet schedules, and support management with variance

Qualifications

• Commerce graduate with 4–7 years of experience in GL accounting and RTR/financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GL accounting and RTR processes.
• Mumbai-based candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• General ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.
• Ensure internal controls and audit requirements compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors for Interim audit and provide schedules.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet and related schedules.
• Monthly analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet variances to management.
• Handle GL queries via email and calls from OPCO, inter-department, agency and region.
• SOX compliance.

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for general ledger accounting and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Coordinating with auditors for Interim audit and providing the details / schedules required by them.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet along with all schedule and other reports required by management.
• Doing monthly analysis of P&L and Balance sheet items and highlight major variances/ observations to management.
• Handling all GL related queries thru mails & calls from OPCO Team, Inter department, Agency & Region.
• SOX Compliance

You will need:

• Education: Commerce Graduare with 4 - 7 years of experience into GL Accounting & RTR / Financial reporting
• Strong undrstanding of GL Accounting & RTR process. We are preferring Mumbai based candidates.
