Job summary

WPP in Mumbai seeks a Supervisor - RTR (ANZ) to lead financial reporting, P&L and balance sheet review, ensuring GAAP adherence and SOX controls. Based in Vikhroli with early shifts and cab facility.

You will manage GL inquiries, drive timely reporting with Opco and regional teams, and lead the SOX compliance effort. Requires CA qualification and 3+ years in financial reporting/RTR, plus strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Financial reporting/GL accounting/RTR.
• Qualified CA with strong communication and reconciliation skills.
• Client-focused, with ability to build internal and external relationships.
• Well organised with prioritisation and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly and quarterly P&L and Balance sheet with supporting schedules.
• Analyze variances to budgets/forecasts and explain discrepancies.
• Manage all GL and reporting queries from Opco, region, or onshore teams.
• SOX Compliance Team Management: weekly reviews and reporting to Management.
• Escalate team issues in consultation with the vertical head.
• Review accounting entries with knowledge of GAAP.
• Lead the team to meet defined timelines and drive organization-wide initiatives.

Job location: - Vikhroli (Mumbai) Shift: Early morning (3:30 am & 6:30 am) Cab facility is available for home pick up & drop.

What you'll be doing:

• Review of monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet along with all supporting schedules and other reports required by management, aligned to the generally accepted accounting practices.
• Analysis of the monthly and quarterly P&L and Balance sheet items, identifying and explaining the variances from budgets, forecasts or identify the lack of variances
• Managing all GL and reporting related queries from Opco, region, or onshore teams
• SOX Compliance Team Management: Weekly review with the team on the progress, issues & achievement and to share the report with Management.
• Escalation on team issues should be resolve in consultation with vertical head
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and ability to review accounting entries
• Manage the team to meet the defined timelines, and adequate time management
• Any other initiative on organization level

What you'll need:

• Minimum 3+ year of experience in Financial reporting / GL accounting / RTR post qualification Qualification - Qualified CA Strong communication skills for negotiation & reconciliation Self-motivated Commercially focused with a strong Client service approach Confidence in dealing and building relationships both internally and externally Well organised with strength in prioritizing Flexible attitude to achieve results.
