Poornam Technologies Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for a proactive Junior Oracle Database Administrator to join our infrastructure team in Chennai. The role focuses on maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring uptime, and supporting development with SQL/PLSQL proficiency.
You will assist in backups, recovery, performance tuning, and security, while gaining exposure to RAC and Data Guard environments and collaborating with developers for efficient SQL queries.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Oracle DatabaseAdministrator (DBA) to join our team. In this role, you will assist inmanaging, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database systems to ensure theirconsistent availability, reliability, and performance.
Database Maintenance
Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle databaseserver software and related products.
Backup and Recovery
Support the development and implementation of backup and recovery strategies.Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
Performance Tuning
Monitor and optimize database performance by troubleshooting issues and makingnecessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
Security
Assist in implementing and maintaining database security measures, includinguser permissions and encryption.
Data Management
Support data import, export, and migration activities. Ensure data consistencyand integrity.
Monitoring
Regularly monitor database health, including storage, performance, and securitymetrics. Respond to alerts and troubleshoot issues.
High Availability
Assist in monitoring Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments and supporthigh-availability operations.
Support
Provide support to developers and end-users for database-related issues. Assistin writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Documentation
Maintain and update documentation related to database configurations,processes, and procedures.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in Oracle databaseadministration. Experience gained through entry-level roles is acceptable.
