Job summary

SmartStream in Pune seeks a Derivatives Reconciliation Analyst to manage and reconcile invoices related to derivatives, ensure adherence to SLAs, and support the Transactions, Fees, Cost and Invoice Management solution.

The role requires knowledge of derivatives products, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with multiple teams and brokers to resolve exceptions quickly while maintaining excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of derivatives product knowledge with exposure to Listed or OTC Brokerage.
• Strong understanding of investment banking products, especially derivatives.
• Detailed understanding of the trade lifecycle and related controls.
• Excellent Excel skills and data manipulation abilities.
• Analytic problem solving skills with attention to numerical accuracy.
• Experience in an SLA-driven environment.
• Experience in data reconciliation or data matching roles.
• 0-2 years in banking/finance industry considered.
• Experience in a software house or development centre is a plus.
• Familiarity with project methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on SmartStream’s Transactions, Fees Cost and Invoice Management solution ensuring all service level agreements are met.

Typical Work Activities include:

• Use the Smartstream solution to match client data and highlight any exceptions.
• Raising data exceptions and managing the investigation process to completion.
• Prioritising work to ensure all SLA’s are adhered too.
• Keeping the client fully informed of progress and liaising with brokers & banks to close any issues.
• Work with multiple teams to provide ideas and input into improving the Smartstream solution.

Key Skills:

Knowledge on Clearing, Settlement (SWIFT interpretation-MT Series messages) and Custody Domian knowledge will be preferred

Knowledge BC&E (Brokerage, Clearing, and Exchange) expense categories of asset classes like Equities, Commission Sharing Agreements, Custody, Clearing, Settlement of multi asset classes, global securities market structure, and accounting. Data Analytical skills is must.

IIBA certification of ECBA; CCBA or CBAP preferred
