Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Chennai seeks a focused Analyst to manage Trade Finance operations with emphasis on French language document handling for Europe regions. You will process Export/Import LC activities, collections, and guarantees while ensuring compliance and timely settlements.

The role requires proficiency in French (read/write/speak), strong Excel skills (Pivot tables), and the ability to work in shifts supporting Europe timing.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in Trade Finance Operations.
• Proficient in Excel, especially Pivot Tables.
• French language proficiency (Read, Write & Speak).
• Eligibility: 2024/2025 pass outs with no backlogs and minimum 70% aggregate.

Responsibilities

• Handling Letter of Credit transactions and collection (Exports & Imports) and Guarantees.
• Scrutiny and review of LC transactions like Advising, Issuance, Amendments, Negotiations & Settlements.
• Imports and export collections transactions.
• Transfers LC, Confirmations, Financing - LC Forfaiting, LC discounting, Trust Receipt Loans, FX Loans.
• Process all transactions with high priority related to compliance and sanctions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Handling Letter of credit transactions and collection (Exports & Imports) and Guarantees
• Scrutiny and review of LC transactions like Advising, Issuance, Amendments, and Negotiations & Settlements.
• Imports and export collections transactions.
• Transfers LC, Confirmations, Financing - LC Forfaiting, LC discounting, Trust Receipt Loans, FX Loan (Booking and settlement of Foreign currency Loan related to L/C & D/C financing).
• Process all transactions with high priority related to compliance and sanctions related issues.
• Ability to handle all types of SWIFT Messages.
• Guarantee Issuances, Amendments, Advising, Claims, Book off and Commission collections.
• To complete the Work flow on daily basis and pending transactions should escalated to Senior Analyst/Lead with updated reasons
• Processing within the SLA’s as required by the Client.
• Raising technical queries, discrepancies to Senior Analyst/Lead and process as per his/her instructions.
• Updates on operational procedures and special practices should be shared with Senior Analyst/Lead and help him in maintaining the standard operating procedure on regular basis.
• Be a backup for the Senior Analyst/Lead
• Attend Training programs.
• Should have urge to learn other products in Trade finance.
• Attend all training conducted within the team on all process and procedural updates.

Technical / Functional skills

• Basic knowledge in Trade Finance Operations
• Good knowledge of office automation tools (advanced in Excel (Pivot table), medium in Power point
• French skills (Read, Write and Speak) is a must.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Analytical skills and process oriented
• Ability to work under pressure and work as part of the team

Eligibility Criteria:

• 2024 or 2025 Pass outs with no backlogs
• Educational Qualification: B. Com, BBA or B.A
• Ability to read, speak & write in French along with B1, B2 certification in French.
• Minimum of 70% aggregate marks across 10th, 12th & Graduation
