Job summary

TÜV SÜD Bangalore is seeking a qualified chemist to join our food testing team. The role focuses on analysis of food samples for nutritional parameters and HPLC, following IS/FSSAI/AOAC methods, with emphasis on accuracy and data integrity.

The candidate will operate and calibrate HPLC and lab instruments, prepare standard solutions, maintain equipment, and document results in accordance with SOPs in a manufacturing and consumer products context.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post-graduate in Chemistry.
• Experience in HPLC testing of foods per FSSAI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze food samples for nutritional parameters and HPLC per IS/FSSAI/AOAC methods.
• Record initial analytical observations, data and calculations.
• Operate and calibrate HPLC and other lab instruments (pH meter, balance, incubator).
• Prepare standard solutions and daily maintenance of lab equipment.
• Follow good laboratory practices and dispose samples per SOP.
• Maintain laboratory documents and records and interpret results.

Your Tasks

• Analysis of food samples for nutritional parameters & HPLC Parameters as per IS/FSSAI/AOAC methods.
• Recording of initial analytical observations, necessary data and calculations.
• Operating and Calibrating HPLC and other the lab instruments like pH meter, weighing balance, incubator etc as per authorization.
• Preparation of standard solutions.
• Daily maintenance of lab equipment.
• Following good laboratory practices.
• Following disposal process for samples & solutions as per SOP.
• Accurate analysis and interpretation of test results
• Maintenance of laboratory documents and records.

Your Qualifications/ Experience

• Graduate / Post-graduate in Chemistry
• 4-5 years of experience in Handling of HPLC testing of foods as per FSSAI.
