Job summary

Apollo Tyres Ltd is seeking an AM/M - Product Development Engineer for its Chennai R&D unit. The role focuses on providing technical support to customers, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely submission of samples and test data for OEM submissions.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of tyre design experience and a BTech in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering, with strong problem-solving and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• BTech in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in tyre design is preferred.
• Knowledge of PPAP/APQP quality processes would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Study RFQ and support project lead in proposing designs.
• Prepare technical proposals covering pattern, material, cavities; propose design changes.
• Coordinate benchmark studies, DFMEA reviews and data book preparation for each sample submission.
• Coordinate with internal R&D teams (Material/Compound, Simulation, Pre Dev, D&M E) for OE readiness.
• Review outdoor results and OEM feedback; discuss specs with analysis for next development loop.
• Ensure QR documentation as per APDP and execute data book prep in each sample loop.
• Coordinate with testing teams for timely completion of testing.
• Support QA for PTR & PPAP submissions and CSQSR deployment.
• Support QA for product-related issues at OEM assembly lines.

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for Technical support to customers with timely response and adhere to commitments. byworking with stakeholders to Participate in OEtechnical meetings and joint testing in order to Ensure timelysubmission of samples and test data book to OEM for each submission.

Major Responsibilities

• Study of RFQ and support project lead in making design proposal.
