Job summary

Apollo Tyres Manufacturing in Chennai is seeking a Product Development Engineer (AM/M) to provide technical support for customers and participate in OE meetings, joint testing, and data submission for OEMs.

The role involves coordinating R&D, QA, and testing activities to ensure timely sample submissions and design improvements across tyre development loops.

Responsibilities

• Study RFQ and support project lead in proposing designs.
• Prepare technical proposals including pattern, material, and cavity changes.
• Coordinate benchmark studies, DFMEA reviews, and data book prep for submissions.
• Coordinate with internal R&D teams for OE technical readiness.
• Review outdoor results, discuss specs with analysis for next development loop.
• Ensure QR documentation as per APDP.
• Execute data book preparation in each sample submission loop.
• Coordinate testing with outdoor and indoor teams for timely completion.
• Support QA for PTR & PPAP submissions and CSQSR deployment.
• Support QA for product issues at OEM assembly lines.

Job Summary

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for technical support to customers with timely response and adhere to commitments. By working with stakeholders to participate in OE technical meetings and joint testing in order to ensure timely submission of samples and test data book to OEM for each submission.

Major Responsibilities

• Study of RFQ and support project lead in making design proposal.
• Prepare technical proposals including pattern, material, cavity and propose changes in design as needed.
• Coordinate all Benchmark study, DFMEA review & data book preparation activity in each sample submission loop.
• Coordinate with internal R&D teams (Material/Compound, Simulation, Pre Dev, D&M etc..) for OE technical readiness.
• Review of outdoor results (OEM feedback), discuss tech specifications with analysis for next development loop with PDM.
• Ensure QR documentation as per APDP.
• Execute all data book preparation activity in each sample submission loop.
• Coordinate with local outdoor and indoor testing team for timely completion of testing.
• Support QA for PTR & PPAP submission and approval & CSQSR deployment.
• Support QA for product related issues at OEM assembly line.
