Job summary

Dar in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is seeking an Electrical Designer with 2–6 years of experience to design Airfield Ground Lighting, Approach Lighting, and related electrical systems. You will prepare electrical designs, tender drawings, and specifications, coordinating with architects and engineers to resolve technical issues.

The role covers lighting for runways, taxiways, aprons, and substation layouts, including ATC interfaces and navigational power supplies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 2–6 years proven experience as an electrical designer.
• Strong understanding of design principles, construction techniques, and building systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Airfield Ground Lighting systems for runways and taxiways including civil works and control.
• Design Approach Lighting system per reference category and associated civil works, control, and profile.
• Coordinate with Architects, Engineers and stakeholders to optimize design and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare reliable electrical designs and Tender/Construction Drawings/Documents/Specifications for the system.
• Design Airfield Ground Lighting system and Airfield Lighting Control/Monitoring architecture and network from ATC.
• Handle Electrical Civil works including MV/LV for the complete Airfield network.
• Layout Airside street and fence lighting.
• Layout Apron lighting and calculations.
• Circuiting layout for Airfield Ground Lighting.
• Electrical substation equipment layout and related lighting and small power plans.
• Power supply to navigational systems and telecom/security equipment.

Job description

Designing Airfield Ground lighting system (Runways & Taxiways) design including its related civil works and its control.

Design the Approach Lighting system as per the reference category defined by the stakeholders including its related civil works, control and profile.

Coordinate/work closely with Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize the project design and resolving design technical issues.

Design activities include the preparation of reliable Electrical designs and Tender/Construction Drawings and Documents/Specification for the following system:

Airfield Ground Lighting system

Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring system Architecture and its network distribution from Air Traffic control

Electrical Civil works including MV and LV for the complete Airfield network

Airside street & fence lighting layouts

Apron Lighting Layouts and Calculations

Airfield Ground Lighting circuiting layout

Electrical substation Equipment Layout including its related Lighting and small power plans

Power Supply to the Navigational systems and the Telecom security equipment's.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
