Job summary

Egis Road Operation India is seeking an experienced Airfield Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. You will design, review, and optimize airfield layouts, geometry, and pavement marking plans for large-scale aviation projects, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, and EASA standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in airfield engineering, strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and AviPLAN, and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in airfield engineering and planning.
• International airport project experience preferred (Greenfield/Brownfield).
• Familiarity with ICAO, FAA, EASA standards and airport design principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and AviPLAN or equivalent software.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As an experienced Airfield Engineer, you’ll leverage your design and planning skills to work as part of a team to plan, design, and review drawings and specifications for exciting and engaging large-scale Aviation projects (Runaways, Taxiways, Airfield, Aprons, etc.). The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, analysis, and implementation of airfield engineering including geometry, grading, marking, airside planning, apron stand optimization etc. to ensure compliance with international aviation standards

Key Responsibilities

• Performing a wide array of airfield-related engineering and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Service Airports.
• Drives projects from inception to final delivery in the airfield planning, design, and construction administration of airports
• Design of Airfield Geometry (horizontal & vertical design of runways, taxiways, aprons, airside vehicle service roads etc.)
• Preparation of Construction phasing plans
• Airfield and Apron Planning and Stand Optimization
• Grading of airfield
• Demolition plans
• Airfield pavement markings
• Utility relocation and protection
• Analyse GIS data, client as-builts, survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information and data needed for project development
• Include preparing scopes, budgets and schedules
• Coordination with other disciplines like pavement, drainage, AGL, structures etc.
• Proficiency with design software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AviPLAN
• Preparation of designs, reports, presentations, specification, tender documents etc.
• Ensure seamless coordination with stakeholders including clients, and within the global aviation teams
• Proficiency in spoken and written technical English, report writing and synopses

What do we need from you

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Airfield engineering and Airfield Planning
• International airport project experience preferred (Greenfield or Brownfield)
• Strong understanding of ICAO, FAA, EASA, and other local civil aviation authority standards and airport civil design principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and softwares like AviPLAN or equivalent software
• Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
