Electrical Design Engineer

Job summary

Assystem in India seeks an electrical design engineer for airport facilities, handling power distribution, lighting, earthing and backup systems.

You will develop SLDs, load calculations, cable sizing and equipment layouts, and coordinate HT/LT systems with architecture, civil and MEP teams.

Ensure compliance with ICAO, DGCA, NBC, IS codes and conduct site inspections, reviews of drawings and tender documents.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years total experience with minimum 3 years in infrastructure projects (EPC/Engineering Consultancy) involving detailed electrical design.
• Knowledge of ICAO, DGCA, NBC, IS codes and local electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and backup systems for airport facilities.
• Develop single line diagrams (SLD), load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment layouts.
• Design and coordinate HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and emergency power supply.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP, and airport planning teams.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Review vendor drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to design.
• Implement energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions (LED lighting, smart controls, renewable integration).
