Job summary

Assystem is seeking a senior electrical engineer for airport projects in Bengaluru, India. You will design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing and backup power, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires 10–15 years of experience, with at least 5 years on airport projects, and a strong grasp of relevant codes and standards. On-site work in Bengaluru, with opportunities to implement energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical is required.
• 10–15 years total experience with minimum 5 years in airport projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical system designs for airport facilities including power distribution, lighting, earthing and backup systems.
• Develop SLDs, load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment layouts.
• Design HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, DG sets, UPS and emergency power supply.
• Design airfield lighting (AGL) for runway, taxiway and apron.
• Review drawings and technical submittals; coordinate with architectural, civil and MEP teams.
• Provide site support during construction, testing and commissioning.

Job Description

• Prepare electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and backup systems for airport facilities.
• Develop single line diagrams (SLD), load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment layouts.
• Design and coordinate HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and emergency power supply.
• Design airfield lighting systems (AGL) including runway, taxiway, and apron lighting.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, DGCA, NBC, IS codes, and local electrical standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP, and airport planning teams.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Review vendor drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to design.
• Implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions (LED lighting, smart controls, renewable integration).
