Job summary

Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, coordinate and oversee end-to-end digital and transformation initiatives.

You will align projects with business strategy, lead cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers and stakeholders, define scope and milestones, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery while documenting decisions and progress. The role focuses on AI and automation projects within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Project Management.
• 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.
• Proven experience delivering technical projects such as technology upgrades, decommissioning IT solutions, activation of large-scale tech projects, delivery of standard tech stacks like Oracle, SAP, ERP.
• Proven experience as project manager, delivering projects without leading the project team.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
• Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Support the implementation and adherence to standardized project management practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).

HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. • 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.
• Proven experience in delivering technical projects such as technology upgrades, decommissioning of IT solutions, Activation of large-scale tech projects, delivery of standard techs stack such as Oracle, SAP, ERP, etc..
• Proven experience as project manager, delivering projects without being in a leadership for the project team.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall)
• Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, etc.)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, or a related field
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master) is a plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• You will be working in AI and Automation Platform.
• Experience in delivery AI and Automation projects
• Experiences with AI, using (Copilot, Chat GPT , Rovo)
• Experiences in managing Gen-AI project is a plus
• Expert in EU law for AI is a plus
