Job summary

upGrad is seeking a curious, AI-first problem solver who can turn repetitive data work into reliable, testable systems. You will work with leadership to automate reporting tasks and ensure trusted outputs for decision-making.

You will connect spreadsheets, files and APIs, clean inputs, and design scheduled workflows with validation and alerting. Fresh graduates are welcome if they have built something useful and can learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years experience; fresh graduates welcome with demonstrable projects.
• Comfort with API requests, JSON or CSV data and webhooks.
• Ability to map recurring reporting tasks and define sources of truth.
• Strong communication and data quality mindset.

Our marketing team's job is to help people see online degrees as real, relevant and affordable education, and to make it easy for them to start studying.

Why this role exists

Help the Leadership and operating teams spend less time collecting, cleaning data and taking decisions. You will use AI, code and workflow tools to turn repetitive work into small, testable systems that people can use and trust.

What you will own

• Collaborate with internal teams to Map recurring reporting tasks. Define the source of truth, business rules, expected output, and deliver the work with AI.
• Connect spreadsheets, files and APIs; clean and reconcile inputs; generate dashboards and repeatable reports with clear definitions.
• Build scheduled workflows with validation, retries and failure alerts.

What you should bring

• First principles problem solver, who is AI first and thinks about solving problems with AI and validate with Human Judgement.
• 0–3 years of experience. Fresh graduates are welcome if they can show something useful they have built.
• Comfort with API requests, JSON or CSV data and webhooks. Experience with an automation platform is useful; equivalent work in code counts.
• Logical thinking, attention to data quality and clear communication. You can explain where a workflow may break and how a non-technical colleague should respond.
• Speed of execution with usage of AI.
• BTech from a Tier1/ 2 Engineering college.
