Finsmart Accounting is seeking a hands-on AI Automation Agent Developer to support the Operational Excellence function. You will evaluate AI tools, build internal AI agents, and deploy automation systems that streamline accounting and operational workflows.

The role focuses on practical implementation, coming with experience in LLM APIs and translating ideas into production-ready automation, while ensuring data privacy and secure handling of financial information.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on experience in AI application development or AI automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, or similar).
• Understanding of prompt engineering principles.
• Basic exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.

Responsibilities

About the Role

• We are seeking a hands-on AI Automation Agent Developer to support the Operational Excellence function in evaluating AI tools and building internal AI-powered solutions.
  
• This role focuses on practical implementation, evaluating AI platforms, building internal AI agents, and deploying automation systems that enhance efficiency across accounting and operational workflows.
  
• The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in AI application development, experience working with LLM APIs, and the ability to convert ideas into functional automation systems.
  

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate AI tools relevant to accounting and operational workflows.

Conduct structured testing and benchmarking based on accuracy, integration

capability, security, scalability, and ROI.

Prepare evaluation reports with clear recommendation criteria.

Support pilot implementations and measure performance improvements.

2. AI Agent Development

Design and implement internal AI agents for knowledge retrieval systems (RAG-based assistants).

Document summarization and analysis.

Email and communication automation.

Workflow validation and monitoring.

Develop prompt frameworks and validation layers to ensure output reliability.

Integrate AI agents with internal tools and SaaS platforms.

3. Automation & Integration

Build AI-powered automation workflows using Python.

Work with OpenAI / Anthropic APIs.

Use basic LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain or similar).

Work with REST APIs and SaaS integrations.

Maintain logs, documentation, and performance tracking dashboards.

Ensure data privacy and secure handling of financial information.

Work closely with the Head of Operational Excellence to prototype and deploy AI

initiatives.

Convert conceptual automation ideas into production-ready solutions.

Maintain documentation, version control, and implementation guidelines.

Continuously refine and improve deployed AI systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

2-3 years of hands-on experience in AI application development or AI automation.

Strong proficiency in Python.

Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, or similar).

Understanding of prompt engineering principles.

Basic exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.

Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating AI with SaaS platforms.

Exposure to accounting or finance-related workflows.

Familiarity with vector databases (basic knowledge acceptable).

Understanding of cloud deployment environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
