Independent Recruitment Consultant (freelancer) in Gurugram seeks an experienced AI/Backend Lead to own the technical architecture for AI-powered applications, mentor developers, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery across LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks.

Responsibilities include building AI/ML solutions with vector databases and REST APIs, integrating OpenAI/Anthropic tools, and developing scalable backends in Node.js, Python, and Laravel.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying AI applications to production at scale.
• Cloud experience AWS, Azure or GCP with compute/storage/serverless.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins).
• Exposure to fine-tuning open-source LLMs is a plus.

Role & responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks.
• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of developers to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
• Conduct regular code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain a culture of engineering excellence.
• Allocate tasks, set technical direction, and monitor progress across all active projects.

AI & Backend Development

• Build and integrate AI/ML solutions including LLM integrations, RAG architectures, and intelligent agent workflows.
• Work with vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering techniques for AI-based features.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, Python, and PHP (Laravel).
• Design and develop REST APIs; integrate third-party services and AI tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs).
• Optimize performance of AI models, inference pipelines, and backend services for production workloads.

Frontend Development

• Design and build modern, responsive frontend interfaces using React.js / Vue.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and design teams to deliver intuitive, user-friendly experiences.

Domain & Collaboration

• Build AI solutions tailored for accounting, bookkeeping, and financial automation workflows translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, CPA clients, and product teams to gather requirements and define technical roadmaps.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of architecture, API contracts, and development workflows.
• Work with version control systems (Git) and follow best practices for branching, merging, and release management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience deploying AI applications to production at scale.
• Cloud experience AWS, Azure, or GCP (compute, storage, serverless, managed AI services).
• Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Exposure to fine-tuning or customizing open-source LLMs (Mistral, LLaMA, etc.).
• Prior experience or interest in fintech, accounting automation, or financial data workflows.
