Job summary

Persistent Systems seeks an experienced AI Architect to lead design and implementation of enterprise AI/ML and Generative AI solutions in Pune. You will shape AI strategy, roadmaps, and governance while collaborating with product, data science, and engineering teams.

The role focuses on building scalable AI platforms, agentic workflows, RAG frameworks, and secure deployments, mentoring teams and driving innovation in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or solution architecture experience.
• Strong hands-on experience designing Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python 3.x and AI/ML development ecosystems.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, observability, and production deployment practices.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of next-generation AI/ML solutions with a strong focus on Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, and product teams to define AI strategy, establish technology roadmaps, and deliver scalable AI solutions that combine Large Language Models (LLMs), domain knowledge, and enterprise workflows.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or solution architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, context management, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Python 3.x and AI/ML development ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, model development, and production deployment practices.
• Experience building scalable AI platforms and enterprise-grade AI applications.
• Strong knowledge of AI architecture patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native design principles.
