Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of next-generation AI/ML solutions with a strong focus on Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. The role requires collaboration with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, and product teams to define AI strategy and deliver scalable AI solutions.

The ideal candidate will design AI platforms, establish roadmaps, and drive governance, security, and responsible AI practices

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or solution architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, context management, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Python 3.x and AI/ML development ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, model development, and production deployment practices.
• Experience building scalable AI platforms and enterprise-grade AI applications.
• Strong knowledge of AI architecture patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native design principles.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Understanding of AI governance, model evaluation, security, observability, and responsible AI practices.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide technical teams and influence architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Design and develop Agentic AI systems that leverage Large Language Models to automate complex business processes.
• Define AI/ML technology roadmaps and align them with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance AI platforms and applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify use cases and translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) frameworks, knowledge systems, and AI-powered workflows.
• Guide engineering teams throughout the AI solution lifecycle, from ideation to production deployment.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, models, and technologies to drive continuous innovation.
• Establish best practices for AI governance, model deployment, monitoring, security, and responsible AI adoption.
• Design integrations between AI systems, enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Mentor engineers, developers, and data scientists on AI architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices.
• Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and operational excellence across AI solutions.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI, and machine learning technologies.
