Job summary

Sodexo Group in Navi Mumbai, India, seeks an Assistant General Manager/General Manager, Facility Technical Operations, to lead hard services delivery and engineering across multi-site operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• 16+ years of core technical operations experience in large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 maintenance for critical equipment (HT/LT, transformers, DG sets, HVAC, UPS, BMS, Fire systems, STP/WTP).
• Manage asset life-cycle and CAFM/CMMS platforms.
• Drive energy conservation programs and green building compliance (LEED/IGBC).
• Manage technical vendors, AMC contracts, spare parts inventory and SLAs; prepare annual budgets.
• Ensure 100% EHS and statutory compliance (Electrical Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board, Fire NOC).
• Lead emergency response and mentor cross-site engineering teams.

Position Summary

The AGM/GM Facility Technical Operations will lead hard services delivery, electro-mechanical infrastructure (MEP), engineering compliance, and asset life-cycle management across multi-site enterprise operations.

This role is responsible for ensuring 99.99% operational uptime of critical utilities, managing large technical operations teams, driving energy efficiency programs, and enforcing rigorous safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Critical Operations: Oversee 24/7 maintenance operations for critical equipment, including HT/LT electrical panels, Transformers, DG sets, HVAC (Chillers, AHUs), UPS systems, BMS, Firefighting systems, STP/WTP, and plumbing networks.
• Asset & Lifecycle Management: Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Predictive Maintenance, and Corrective Action frameworks; ensure asset tracking and life-cycle optimization via CAFM/CMMS platforms.
• Energy Management & Sustainability: Design and monitor site-level energy conservation strategies, load management, power factor optimization, and green building standard compliances (LEED/IGBC).
• Vendor & Budget Management: Manage technical vendors, AMC contracts, spare parts inventory, and engineering SLAs. Prepare annual technical Opex/Capex budgets.
• EHS & Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to national and local statutory compliances (Electrical Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board, Fire NOC, Pressure Vessel certifications) and internal health and safety standards.
• Crisis Management & Team Leadership: Lead emergency response protocols for critical utility failures; mentor, structure, and drive technical engineering teams across sites.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience: 16 years + of core technical operations experience (or equivalent military engineering tenure combined with corporate facilities management experience) handling high-density commercial assets, IT/ITeS parks, data centers, or large manufacturing facilities.
