Job summary

Azure Power seeks a senior finance professional to lead fundraising activities, manage relationships with banks, DFIs, and other lenders, and oversee financial modelling and information memoranda for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The role requires deep understanding of debt and project finance, strong stakeholder engagement, and keen risk assessment across the renewable energy sector in India.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA in Finance with around 10 years of fundraising experience.
• Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
• Experience in domestic/international fundraising in infrastructure sector.
• Stakeholder management, Financial Modelling, Information Memorandum and MIS.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions/banks, including multilaterals, DFIs, Indian/Foreign banks.
• Effective interpersonal communication with management.
• Prepare Information Memorandum, financial model, draft terms, pitch books for lenders/investors.
• Engage with legal, tax, technical, insurance advisers and other project stakeholders.
• Perform due diligence, research, analysis, term sheet negotiation and documentation.
• Portfolio Management for corporate debt and project finance.
• Develop understanding of macro environment of power sector, renewables market.
• Competitor analysis, benchmarking with peers, data collection and analysis.
• Post disbursement monitoring and compliance.

Job description

• Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple financial institutions/banks, including multilaterals, DFI’s, Indian / Foreign banks etc
• Effective interpersonal skills for communicating with the management
• Preparation of Information Memorandum, financial model, draft terms, pitch books and other information, as may be required by lenders/investors for their assessment.
• Engagement with legal counsel, tax counsel, technical consultants, insurance advisors and other project stakeholders
• Perform due diligence, research, analysis, term sheet negotiation and documentation, with attention to detail
• Portfolio Management for both corporate debt and project finance
• Developing good understanding of macro environment of the power sector specifically renewable energy space, market players
• Competitor analysis, benchmarking with peers, data collection on transactions undertaken by market players and its analysis
• Post disbursement monitoring and compliance

Desired Experience and Skills/Competencies:

• CA / MBA Finance with around 10 years of experience in fund raising
• High Financial acumen and attentive to details.
• Preference towards prior experience in domestic/international fund raising in infrastructure sector
