Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer with 5–8 years of GenAI and MLOps experience to lead AI projects across AI/ML lifecycles. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, design agent-based solutions, and drive delivery using AWS, Azure, and Databricks across Persistent locations.

The role emphasizes governance, prompt engineering, and ongoing innovation in AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and LangChain, while mentoring teammates and managing budgets and risks.

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer with a strong background in Generative AI (GenAI) Agents to lead innovative projects in the realm of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, Agentic AI, and MLOps. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and drive successful delivery of AI-powered solutions in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and manage AI and Machine Learning projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions utilizing GenAI Agents, MLOps, and Computer Vision technologies.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, clients, engineering teams, and executive leadership.
• Utilize AWS and Azure services including Agentcore, Bedrock, ECS/EKS, Lambda, Databricks, Azure ML, Azure Functions, and AKS to enhance project outcomes.
• Implement best practices in prompt engineering, model deployment, and AI solution governance.
• Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure delivery success.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers, technical leads, and team members.
• Drive innovation and adoption of emerging AI technologies and best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Proven experience managing AI and Machine Learning projects, specifically involving GenAI Agents.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, and Agentic AI.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, tools, and AI deployment frameworks.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services including Agentcore, Bedrock, ECS/EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Fargate, and EventBridge.
• Experience with Azure services including Azure ML, Azure Functions, AKS, Databricks, and IoT solutions.
• Excellent project management skills including planning, execution, stakeholder management, governance, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Computer Vision projects and AI-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and project management tools.
• Knowledge of data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native AI solution architectures and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience coordinating solution delivery across engineering, data science, product, and business teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI-powered solutions.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and executive-level communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, resource planning, and delivery portfolios.
